Executive Director
The KCDC is looking to hire an Executive Director (ED) to lead the 501c3 non-profit organization in project execution, capacity building, communication and outreach. Not only will the ED be the “face” of the organization in the community, he/she will provide vision and leadership in implementing the KCDC’s strategic plan.
Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking ability is a requirement, while experience in business development, grant writing, non-profits, volunteer motivation, public relations and board reporting will all be viewed favorably.
Most important of all, the KCDC board will be looking for a person with a passion for our community, and the ability to listen, learn and grow into a leader who can make a difference.

Organization
The Ketchum Community Development Corporation (KCDC) is a 501c3 organization whose mission is to create a sustainable, vibrant community by leveraging public and private resources to ensure vitality, economic growth and diversification that enhances the quality of life in greater Ketchum. The KCDC serve the community by promoting and developing projects that provide meet with this mission and the Ketchum Master Plan.
Purpose of the Job
The Executive Director will lead the organization by developing and implementing strategies, programs, work-plans and projects that support the KCDC’s mission. The Executive Director works for the KCDC Board of Directors, reports to the Chairman of the Board, and manages the activities of staff and/or consultants as required.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
1. Leadership and Management (50%)
• Ensure that organization is run in professional, responsive and legal manner
• Manage staff resources for delivery of goals, objectives and key actions
• Participate in and support Board, Team and Team Sub-committee projects and activities
• Manage and report on budget and financial performance
• Establish and maintain resource and operational capabilities
• Develop and maintain strategic plan and planning process
• Build organizational brand equity / value
• Coordinate public and private fundraising efforts
• Create and support access to external funding and grant opportunities
• Coordinate special events as required
3. Administration (20%)
• Establish and maintain administrative office functionality and capabilities
• Develop and coordinate record keeping and data retention processes
• Coordinate IT systems functionality
• Support Treasury and bookkeeping activities
Know How & Skills
• Business general management & leadership skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
Qualifications & Experience
• Degree-level education, with public policy or business degree
• Minimum 5 years work experience
• Prior work experience in a non-profit environment with a volunteer structure
• Project management experience, preferable with municipal entity participation
• Successful grant writing and/or fundraising experience
