The brainchild of the KCDC’s Dale Bates, a three-day event was organized to bring 64 members of the community together to develop priorities and plans to ensure that Ketchum remains healthy and vibrant in important facets, such as economy, culture, recreation, education and health.
Using Future Search, a cutting-edge strategic visioning process designed to access our history, explore possible visions for our future and, based on a common ground, create action plans for moving forward.
The Visioning event took place in January 2010, three-straight days of committed volunteers that brought their passion, insights and contributions to shape a future based on the community’s core values.
The Visioning process was a success due to the dedication of both the steering committee and the 64 members of the community invited, due to their interests, jobs and representations in the community.
At this time of increasingly complex social, environmental and economical challenges, we have a compelling responsibility to build on our rich past, leverage our unique resources and effectively plan for the future.
